MOSAICS
In Jones’ mosaics, she uses whole stoneware slap piece or pieces as a focal image. The Tessera used is almost all from her own making. At times it is stoneware, and other times it is her Glass Fusion technique which adds depth to her backgrounds. Being in control of the entire process ensures Gail that all her spirit, soul and heart can be realized in her mosaics.

Jones has developed a technique where glass is used like paint which enhances her tiles and dishes. This creates a wonderful mystical affect. “ I just love the how light or bounces off the pieces to make them look dimensional and mysterious.”
